Your telegram 20th July. It is proposed to insure each man conscripted and sent to India in sum of £2000 if married $1000 unmarried and to make provision for disablement on lines ofthe Army allowances. Each case of disablement will be considered on relative merit and joint recommendation will be made by the Treasurer and the senior member of Legislative Council to the Governor in Council! Insurance and local provision for disablement will be in addition to Army pension or payment. All payments should come out of the revenues of the Colony.
